Composite Suspension Insulators are electrical components designed specifically for suspension applications in high-voltage electrical systems. They consist of a core material made of insulating silicone rubber or other polymer materials, surrounded by a weather-resistant, flexible outer shell. The shape structure of composite insulator is similar to that of suspension insulator, which is composed of end fittings, insulation umbrella-shaped corrugated, sheath and single sleeve rod.The umbrella skirt sheath is the outer insulator part of the polymer composite insulator. Its function is to make the composite insulator have high resistance to wet flashover and pollution flashover, and protect the core rod from atmospheric erosion.
1.The core is surrounded by a housing made of polymer materials, commonly silicone rubber. This polymer housing provides electrical insulation, as well as protection against environmental factors such as moisture, pollution, and UV radiation.
2.Polymer suspension insulators typically have metal end fittings that connect the insulator to the conductor and the supporting structure. These end fittings are designed to ensure a secure and reliable attachment.
3.The design and materials used in polymer suspension insulators provide flexibility, allowing them to withstand mechanical vibrations and stresses caused by factors such as wind, ice, and conductor movement.
4.Easy installation and maintenance, can greatly reduce outage loss which cause due to maintenance and maintenance charges which cause by manual labor intensity.
5.High antifouling property, good aging resistance performance, the sheds made of silicone rubber injection mold has good hydrophobicity and migration, which makes insulator high anti pollution flashover voltage and good electric corrosion resistance.
